Montefolchi is probably the spot with the best view in the whole Chianti area near Florence.
It is situated on top of a hill with a wonferful view which on clear days embraces the countryside all the way to the Appennins.
The village was once a Roman castrum, then a Longobardic castle.
It was originally an Etruscan village, as the 7th century B.C. findings have demonstrated.

The holiday home is a portion of the farmhouse that looks on its private garden with its own "aia" (threshing-floor) where you can enjoy the spectacular sunsets while dining outdoors.
The entrance from the garden leads up the stairs to a large kitchen with a large old fireplace. The rooms of the house have been tastefully restored maintaining the original structure of the "casa colonica" and with care for all modern conveniences. There is a tv sat.
The roofing-tiles are typical of the tuscan tradition.
